GRAPE VARIETY
Semidano, an ancient Sardinian grape variety dating back to 1780. It is sometimes confused with the Nuragus grape due to their similar vine shoots and leaves.
PRODUCTION AREA
Mogoro area, where the Semidano variety is recognized for its unique expression and granted DOC status.
VINE CHARACTERISTICS
– Unproductive, with small and compact clusters
– Medium resistance to cryptogams
MATURATION
Occurs in the second week of September. In late harvest (first 10 days of October), the Semidano can produce white wines of great structure and complexity or fascinating sweet wines.

10 – 12°C
VINEYARDS
– Freestanding training system on Mogoro low hillsides
– Clayey-calcareous soils with quaternary sands
– Sub/arid climate with mild winters and very hot summers, cooled by mistral winds
– Manual harvest with severe grape selection, yield of 50/60 q/ha
VINIFICATION
– Short maceration of the must with skins
– Fermentation under temperature control
– Refinement for 3 months in 500L French oak barrels with batonnage
– 9 months in stainless steel vats, 2 months in bottle before release

Over 3 years, with optimal storage conditions
