PRODUCTION
A portion of the 25-30 year old vines are situated at the base of the Saint Christophe des Bardes slope,
the rest are situated on the gravel soils of Saint Sulpice. Vines are planted on old sandy soils,
sandstone and gravel. Fruit is manually and machine harvested. After a cold soak pre fermentation, a 3-
4 week maceration in temperature controlled tanks follows, with regular punching down. Before
bottling the wine is aged for 12-15 months in French oak barrels, 30% new of which are new.
TASTING NOTE
Ripe and very appealing with lovely velvety structure and concentrated fruit, notes of damsons,
bramble and blackberry. Full bodied with good concentration and depth which carries through to the
long finish. A classic and delicious Saint-Émilion - well made and elegant.
FOOD MATCH
Excellent with Côte de Boeuf.
