Siroe is an original combination of Cesanese, an elegant native varietal from Lazio, and Syrah, a weighty international grape, for a wine that achieves a very pleasing balance between elegance and firm structure.
PRODUCTION DISTRICT: Vineyards in Lazio.
ALTITUDE: From 100 to 200 metres above sea level.
TYPE OF SOIL: Soils of volcanic origin.
TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot and spurred cordon.
HARVEST: The grapes are harvested when fully ripe in late September.
WINEMAKING METHOD: Fermentation and maceration on the skins.
AGEING: Aged in concrete vats to keep the varietal’s characteristic fruitiness.
SENSORY PROFILE: Pronounced ruby red colour; aroma reminiscent of forest fruits with delicately spicy hints; full-bodied, soft, velvety flavour.
