The Unità Geografiche Aggiuntive (SGI: Supplementary Geographical Indications) designation for the Soave wine production zone, recognized by the Ministry of Agricultural policies, provides an opportunity to promote this historical winegrowing area, where high-quality viticulture has been practiced for more than 200 years. Castelcerino, an SGI in the Soave Classico zone, is one of the most prominent areas in the denomination and among its oldest. The new Soave Classico DOC Castelcerino Rocca Sveva, a white wine produced solely from grapes grown in the Castelcerino area, exhibits precise characteristics classic to this unique terroir.
