Vecchia Romagna Etichetta Nera Brandy is a premium brandy and one of
Italy's best selling spirits. This grape brandy originates from one of
the oldest vineyards of Bologna, Italy in the province of Emilia
Romagna. Vecchia Romagna Etichetta Nera is distilled from the Trebbiano
grape. In France, the grape is known as Ugni Blanc, where it is the base
grape for almost all the world's best Cognacs.
This distinctive brandy has a bold, elegant taste as a result of a
double distillation and double ageing process. It's carefully produced
using continuous and discontinuous distillation and a double ageing
process, first in barriques and then oak barrels.
A beautiful luminous coppery antique gold in colour. The nose displays
hints of tropical fruit - papaya and pineapple, this intermingles with
vanilla, cinnamon and clove aromas. Vanilla and crisp notes combine with
caramelised baked pear in a mix of refined flavours. Smooth and complex
to taste, with rounded hints of sweet spices - vanilla and cinnamon, in
addition to bold notes of clove. There's a lingering pleasant
aftertaste on the finish.
Drink neat to fully appreciate in all its glory. It also works great in cocktails.
