Producer Spotlight:

Cantina Tani

Cantina Tani was founded in the early 1980s in Monti, a hill town 15 minutes from the Olbia coast, at the behest of the passionate winemaker, Tonino Tani now flanked by his daughters Angelica and Roberta. Our goal is to produce wines that mirror this terroir at its best, and we do it by growing native grapes, including Vermentino and Cannonau. Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, we always seek the right balance between tradition, innovation and sustainability. Our wines are all certified with the national quality system of integrated production. We are convinced that wine and winery hospitality create an essential synergy.

About Cantina Tani

In 1980 the brothers Franco and Tonino Tani with Tonino’s wife Fedrica bought their first land and planted the first Vermentino vineyard. From that moment the history of the winery begins, with the desire to live, make known and savor their land of Gallura, a wild land where nature still rules. This land also knows how to be generous and conquers you, just as it conquered the second generation of the family. We transmit the love for our land in everything we do. The landscape surrounding the Tani family company is dominated by granite and Mediterranean scrub which, suggestively, seem to also transfuse into the characteristics of their wines, making them intimately identifying. The tasting of the latest production, if on the one hand it confirms the dogma of a Gallura land of choice for white wines, on the other it insinuates the doubt that the rule supports more than one exception. Thus it happens that the primacy of Taerra, always excellent and true to itself, is undermined by a red with great character such as Serranu.
